While at work this past week I was listening to the BBC World Service radio when a segment on female inclusion in the Saudi workplace was aired. Both a Saudi woman and an American woman were interviewed for the segment and their perspective on the culture and perceived restrictions were different. I was also reminded that the hijab is not just the headscarf that a woman wears on her head but, that in some Muslim cultures hijab is also an extension of the headscarf in the way a woman dresses and acts in public. The segment that I am referring to is during the first half of the podcast and the second part of the podcast is about Iran’s virgin market after the recent lifting of American sanctions on Tehran. Hope you enjoy the podcast!
